How Niffs and rewarded access work

Niffs make the cost of an AI response visible before you send a request.

Nifftly uses a response balance called Niffs. Different AI models have different underlying costs, so the Niff cost shown in the model picker can vary. Seeing that cost upfront helps you choose a model that fits the importance and complexity of the task instead of guessing which option to use.

Daily access starts with an economy model

Each day includes a free Niff allowance for the economy chat model. That makes it easy to start a straightforward conversation, draft, or explanation without committing to a higher-cost model. Other available models can be used when you have an earned or paid Niff balance, and their costs are shown in the picker.

This approach is meant to be legible: the model and the cost are visible before a request is submitted. A response should never feel like a surprise charge hidden behind a vague plan name.

Rewarded ads require a clear choice

On web, Nifftly can offer an optional rewarded ad as one way to earn more Niffs. The reward flow begins only after a person actively selects the offer. A reward is not granted just because an ad is available, started, or dismissed. The web flow applies a minimum watch period, daily caps, a server-issued nonce, and one-time crediting controls.

That distinction protects both sides. You should know what you are choosing and what the reward is before the experience begins. Nifftly also needs the reward to be bounded so an ad-supported model remains sustainable.

Remember: A rewarded ad is optional. If there is no ad available, no reward should be promised or issued. Availability can vary by device, location, and demand.

Match the model to the value of the work

A fast, economical model is often enough for a draft, a short summary, or an initial outline. Use a stronger model when the task needs careful reasoning, more technical detail, or a polished final result. For current facts, turn on Cite and review the sources before acting on the answer.

Because AI can make mistakes, a higher Niff cost is not a guarantee of accuracy. It is a signal that the selected model has a different cost profile. Good prompts, source checks, and human judgment still matter.

Keep an eye on the task, not only the balance

The best use of Niffs is work that genuinely saves you time or helps you think more clearly. Start with a focused request. Give relevant context. Ask for an output you can review. Then decide whether a follow-up or a different model would add enough value to justify the next response.
